Sell to trade buyers from the Shopify store you already have
Since 2 April 2026, company accounts, trade price lists and payment terms have been built into every paid Shopify plan. Most stores have never switched them on. We set it up once, in your own admin — no monthly app fee — and hand it over.
At a glance
OpenX24 switches on Shopify's own B2B features on the store you already have: company accounts, trade price lists, payment terms, quantity rules and a wholesale login, with no monthly app fee. The Wholesale Setup is £1,199, built and handed over in 5 business days; the £79 Readiness Check comes back within 2 business days and is credited in full against a Setup bought within 30 days.
- Who it’s for
- Shopify merchants on Basic, Grow, Advanced or Plus who sell to trade buyers and still take those orders by email or phone.
- What you get
- Company accounts, trade price lists, payment terms, quantity rules and volume pricing, a wholesale login and an approval flow, tested with a real trade order before handover.
- Price
- Readiness Check £79. Wholesale Setup £1,199. Credit Control for B2B £449.
- How long
- Check: back within 2 business days. Setup: 5 business days. Credit Control: set up in 3 business days.
Wholesale used to need Shopify Plus or a monthly app. Now it needs neither.
The features are in your admin already. The work is knowing which ones, and setting them up so a trade buyer can log in, see their price and order without emailing you.
Before April 2026
Company accounts, catalogs and payment terms were Plus-only. Everyone else rented a wholesale app, or took trade orders by email and retyped them by hand.
Now, on Basic, Grow and Advanced
Company profiles, up to three price catalogs, volume pricing, quantity rules and net payment terms — included in the plan you are already paying for.
What most stores did about it
Nothing. The features sit unused because nobody showed them what they are, and the trade orders still arrive by phone. That is the part we do.
What a finished wholesale setup looks like
Everything below is Shopify's own B2B, configured for how you sell to trade. Your retail customers see nothing different.
Company accounts
Your existing trade customers imported as companies — contacts, delivery locations and the terms each one is on. They get an invite and log in.
Trade price lists
Up to three catalogs: retail, trade, distributor — or a straight discount off retail. Assigned per company, so each buyer sees their own price.
Payment terms
Pay at checkout, net 30 for approved accounts, or due on fulfilment — set per company, collected by Shopify, with the invoice trail in your admin.
Quantity rules & volume pricing
Minimum order, case sizes, price breaks at 12 and 48 units — enforced at checkout instead of in a reply to an email.
A wholesale login on your store
A trade page and a login in your navigation. Approved buyers see trade prices; everyone else sees your shop exactly as it is today.
Registration with an approval flow
New trade buyers apply, you approve them in one click, and their account, price list and terms are live. No spreadsheet of who is allowed what.
Deposits, partial payments and unlimited catalogs remain Plus-only. If your wholesale actually needs them, the Readiness Check says so — we would rather tell you than sell you a setup that cannot deliver it.
Fixed prices, published here
The check is a report on your store, not a sales call — and its price is credited in full against the setup.
Card payment via Stripe. Needs a Shopify Basic, Grow, Advanced or Plus plan — the Starter plan has no B2B, and we check before any work starts. The setup is yours outright, the same as a store build.
Net 30 is a promise. A credit limit is the part that enforces it.
Shopify lets you give a trade buyer 30 days to pay. It will not stop that buyer ordering again before they have paid — there is no credit limit in Shopify B2B, on any plan.
What you have today
Payment terms per company, and a spreadsheet in your head. The order goes through whatever they already owe you.
What goes wrong
A good account quietly becomes a bad debt across three unpaid orders, and you find out on the fourth — after you have shipped it.
What this does
A limit per company and a running balance. When an order would take them over, checkout stops and you get told. Nothing ships that you did not agree to fund.
Best bought with, or after, a Wholesale Setup — it needs company accounts and payment terms to control. Already have those running? It works on any store that does, whoever set it up.
- PaySecure Stripe checkout. Your receipt arrives by email.
- Your dashboardAn invite lands in your inbox within minutes. Set a password — dates, progress and messages all live there.
- Ten-minute formYour trade prices, your trade customers, your terms, and a staff invite to your Shopify admin. Your clock starts the moment it lands.
- Date in writingYour handover date, confirmed on your dashboard before any work starts.
- Handed overTested with a real trade order, then yours — and we show you how to approve a company, read a B2B order and change a price list.
Why not just install a wholesale app?
What the apps cost
The best-known wholesale apps charge a monthly fee that climbs with your order count, and the trade buyer checks out in the app's cart overlay rather than your own store. That fee never stops.
What native B2B costs
Nothing on top of your plan. It uses Shopify's own checkout, its own invoices and its own admin, and your trade orders sit next to your retail ones. We charge once to set it up.
When an app is still right
Unlimited price lists, deposits, or a sales-rep ordering portal. If your wholesale needs those, the Readiness Check tells you which app and why — rather than selling you a setup.
Before you buy
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. Since 2 April 2026 the core B2B features are on Basic, Grow and Advanced. Starter is the one plan without them — the intake asks which you are on before anything starts.
Will my retail customers see trade prices?
No. Price lists are assigned to approved companies. A shopper who is not logged in to a company account sees your store exactly as it is today.
My trade buyers still phone. Then what?
They will, for a while — “did my account get approved”, “send me my price list”, “the usual again”. After handover, Run Core at £29/month puts a person and an assistant on those, from your dashboard, cancel any time. Optional; the setup works without it.
Built & handed over on the date we commit
You get the date in writing before we start, and the clock starts when you've sent us what we need. We can hold that date because the work is Shopify's own B2B admin, configured from your answers — not a build from scratch.
Not sure your store is ready for it?
That is what the Readiness Check is for. A written report on your actual store, back within 2 business days, and the £79 comes off the setup if you go ahead.
